My name is Stuart Clarke and as part of my job, i travel to Jersey on regular occasions to represent my company and do my job as a financial advisor. I find myself in the small sunny island more than 4 times a month which means i have stayed and dined at many different places. This is why i thought i would share my experiences with other regular Jersey business travellers or even people who are just interested in what Jersey has to offer. So when you have time to release yourself from your very busy schedules, you can enjoy a lavish meal and stay in some of the most wonderful hotels Jersey has to offer which will make your time on the beautiful island that little bit more special.

The True Taste of Jersey

23rd January 2011
I returned to Jersey for yet another weekend and thought it was time to find a place that let me feel what Jersey was once like traditionally. I found a nice restaurant called The Carvery which is part of the Les Charrieres Country hotel. As soon as I entered, the place felt warm and inviting. It gave me a completely different feel from my last evening out in Jersey where I visited the Oyster Box in St Brelades, but I really liked feel as if I was home. An aspect I loved about the restaurant was the fact it was situated in the countryside and still had itself some local and regular customers that left the place with a family feel atmosphere. It made me feel more than comfortable. Traditional food was also on the menu and we all know that nothing beats a roast on a cold January evening. It was also nice to have a change from all the modern restaurants I had been to and visiting The Carvery with the locals made it that little bit more special.
My Verdict
